Roots, Leaves and Wings Parent Workshop series: 8 online workshops supporting parents from ages 0-18.
Parenting is a wonderful journey but it can also feel overwhelming, confusing and full of “ What do I do now ” moments. The Roots, Leaves and Wings Parent workshop series has been designed to provide families with the clarity, confidence and practical tools that they have been asking for.
Each 90‑minute online workshop includes expert-led information, guidance and electronic workbook packed with simple, actionable strategies parents can use straight away.
This is the first parent programme that supports development from early childhood to late adolescence, covering the areas national evidence shows parents struggle with most but rarely receive high‑quality guidance on.
Why are these needed?
Across the UK and echoed in global child‑development research, a clear picture is emerging. Parents play a central role in shaping their child’s emotional, social and educational outcomes, yet many feel under‑supported and unsure where to turn for reliable, practical guidance. Studies from organisations such as Ofsted, the Education Endowment Foundation, Public Health England and the Department for Education consistently show that families want help that is straightforward, realistic and rooted in everyday life rather than dense theory or clinical terminology.
International evidence mirrors this: parents benefit most from support that is accessible, warm and focused on real‑world strategies they can use immediately. Schools and trusts also report increasing pressure to provide meaningful parent education but often lack the time, resources or specialist expertise to deliver it consistently across age groups.
Parents frequently say they feel least confident during major developmental transitions; the move into school, the shift into adolescence, and the complex decisions around post‑16 and post‑18 pathways. These are the moments when guidance matters most.
The Roots, Leaves and Wings Parent series has been created to meet these needs directly. It offers families clear, compassionate and evidence‑informed support that strengthens confidence, deepens understanding and makes parenting feel more manageable at every stage
